A certification that validates the expert exercise of the Product Owner accountability defined by the Scrum Guide (November 2020): maximizing the value of the product through strategic management of the Product Backlog, the Product Goal and stakeholders. The Product Owner is accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team. The Scrum Product Owner Certified Expert exercises that accountability with excellence: strategically manages the Product Backlog and Product Goal, represents the interests of multiple stakeholders within a single coherent Product Backlog, collaborates actively with the Developers and the Scrum Master during the Scrum events, and bases prioritization decisions on evidence and product value metrics.
